Mashiur Group was founded by the Late Mr. Mashiur Rahman, born in March 28, 1928 in Jessore town. Mr. Rahman began his career as the proprietor of M/S. Mashiur Rahman & Co. in 1952. In 1958, M/S. Mashiur Rahman & Co. was enlisted in C&B Department, Housing and Settlement, and Roads & Highways Department as a 1st class contractor and as an 'A' class contractor and supplier in 1976 in Military Engineering Services(MES) Department. He was also a Founder Director of Nowapara Jute Mills Ltd. & Sardar Fish Processing Limited since 1967.

It was neither a huge amount of capital nor a well situated modern establishment that earned Mr. Rahman the good reputation from home and abroad; it was rather the talent of the highest order, the very clear business concept, and the untiring zeal and determination of this self-made man that contributed to the establishment of this concern. He was well connected with various commercial & social organizations & rendered untiring social services to the needy people of all walks of life.

Late Mr. Rahman, a man of rare caliber and an undaunted entrepreneur breathed his last at Holy Family Red Cross Hospital, Dhaka, under treatment on 10th March, 1987. He will be remembered by the people he came across for his courteous and endearing manners, his integrity and fortitude in adversity, and his resilience.

Mr. Sabbir Hassan, the present Chairman and Managing Director, son of Late Mr. Mashiur Rahman, has business experience of over 25 years in construction, electrical substation, generator, software, and in recent times CNG sector and Jute. He did business with reputed Government firms like MES(Army, Navy, and Air force), DGDP, and Private Sectors.
